GREEN ROOM
The project transforms an existing and underutilized two-storey rehearsal room at Roy Thomson Hall into a new lounge/green room for patron services and event sponsors.
Vital food service and support space is added at the lower level, that of the stage. Above, a new floor is constructed in the upper portion of the former rehearsal hall, creating a new room at the ground floor lobby level, just off the main entrance.
BLONDE AND DARK
New openings carved into existing concrete walls create meaningful new views to both the lobby and street outside. An interior palette of maple and ebony plays off neutral concrete and drywall to produce a calm elegance. Splashes of colour on chaises provide a festive accent.
